Carbohydrates contain both sugar and starch and they are found in many of the foods that we eat and they are measured in grams (g). Carbohydrates are broken down into glucose which are important in your body. Insulin moves glucose to our cells and acts like a key so that glucose can get inside our cells to be used. Balancing of carbohydrates and insulin is important as it helps to keep the glucose in the body healthy.
